Dreamlight Valley Falling Water And Ice Heart Quest Guide

Progressing through Merlin's questline in Disney Dreamlight Valley is vital for unlocking full access to every biome across the village. During The Final Trial quest, players are tasked with gathering rare enchanted ingredients to permanently upgrade their Royal Watering Can. Among these items, obtaining Falling Water and growing an Ice Heart often confuse players who are trying to solve Merlin's riddles.

Starting The Final Trial Quest

To begin this late-game journey, players must reach level 10 friendship with Merlin and unlock WALL-E in the valley. Merlin asks you to craft Purified Night Shards and have WALL-E crush them into a fine powder. Once this step is finished, Merlin hands over a spellbook containing hints for the remaining key ingredients.

Locating the Falling Water

Finding Falling Water requires traveling to the southern border of the Glade of Trust biome. Head toward the edge of the map where the river cascades over the cliff waterfall into the open void. Look for a golden glowing sparkle spot right on the ground near the rushing edge to pick up the liquid.

Growing the Ice Heart

The Ice Heart is not found lying around in the wild, but must be cultivated from a special seed. Check your inventory for the Ice Tear Seed provided inside Merlin's mysterious quest book. Dig a hole in any soil, plant the seed, and water it once to instantly harvest the fully grown Ice Heart.

Crafting the Royal Watering Can Upgrade

After collecting the Falling Water, the Ice Heart, and twenty-five mushrooms from the Glade of Trust, head to a crafting bench. Combine these items to create the Royal Watering Can Upgrading Ointment and deliver it directly to Merlin. With this enhancement applied, you can finally remove the large purple mushroom patches blocking path bridges throughout the valley.
